A Quarter located on St. Lucia’s East coast, Praslin is also a fishing village of the same name. Featuring a small beach in the sheltered bay, Praslin is the administrative centre of the Quarter.
The nearby little Praslin Island is home to the Zandoli Te, a colourful lizard originating from the Maria Islands. You can visit Praslin Island via a ferry.
Construction is currently underway on a new hotel development – Le Paradis Beach, Golf & Marina Resort, which will feature a Greg Norman golf course situated along St. Lucia’s Atlantic coastline.

The Eastern Trail, Praslin Protected Landscape – Located within the natural beauty of the Praslin Protected Landscape, the Eastern Trail offers 3.5 miles of amazing scenery. The trail runs parallel to the Atlantic Ocean with a high vantage point that provides a bird’s eye view of the rugged cliffs and powerful, untouched Atlantic coast.
Fregate (Frigate) Island Nature Reserve – Operated by the St. Lucia National Trust, a mile-long trail circles the nature reserve. A breeding area for seabirds, the Nature Reserve is reached from the East Coast Road near the village of Praslin but the only way to visit is on a guided tour that can be arranged through hotels, hotel, a tour operator, or the St. Lucia National Trust.
Mamiku Gardens – Designed by one of the top landscape designers in the Caribbean, Mamiku Gardens boasts beauty, nature and history. Located on the East Coast of the island, a 45 minute scenic drive from Castries, Mamiku Gardens is a tropical blend of natural woodland trails and beautifully landscaped gardens.
